I have eaten here numerous times and the food is consistently very good. We enjoy their Pepper Chicken and the Mongolian Beef. The sushi is very good too and surprisingly affordable. Their lunch menu has several nice combination specials. Beware the hot mustard! It is delicious but it'll take the top of your head off if you are not careful. The staff is usually lovely and very gracious. The owner (?) however needs a vacation because she can get very cranky in public with her staff. This restaurant has a full bar and serves a nice pour of wine by the glass. Try the rose with their hot and sour soup. Delicious! The vibe is relaxed and modern with lots of seating, so usually no waiting for a table. Little Holly's is tucked into a corner of a shopping center, (practically hidden behind some too-tall bushes out front) so there is plenty of parking. We do not live anywhere near this restaurant but we always stop in or get something to go whenever we are in Highlands Ranch. I have recommended this restaurant to many friends who agree with my assessment. Try it, you will enjoy it!
Update 2025: Still the top spot for amazing Chinese food in Highlands Ranch! Fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious — no one else comes close. Re-review from 2023 still stands strong: hands down the best Chinese restaurant in town!
My daughter and I visited for the first time here and I wish we lived closer so we could come often. What a wonderful meal. The wonton soup was great. The wontons are made with a lighter and thinner wrap and are so much better than the thicker wraps. We tried the Holly's appetizer to get a taste of multiple items and it did not disappoint. We had the Sesame chicken as the main dish and was pleasantly surprised to see a good helping of rice served with it. Lately, so many places give you just one small scoop of rice per entree that doesn't even last half the meal. Not here. We had a perfect amount of steamed rice to enjoy with the flavorful sesame chicken and it's sauce. I will definitely be back when we are in the area again. Apologies for the photos as we had already started eating when I remebered to take a picture.
The wait was super slow, but that was because they were down a waiter today. The locals say there it usually is a short wait. The food was delicious. I tried the Chow Mein House Special, and my wife had the Cashew Chicken. We also got crab rangoon and the Alaska Sushi Roll. All was delicious, especially the Sushi Roll. The price was reasonable; although more on the expensive side, the amount of food for the main dishes is probably worth two meals.
Do yourself a favor before you die and visit this restaurant and order the Crispy Honey Scallops. This is a dinner entree only but will be prepared for you for lunch if you ask (but you will pay full dinner price). But let me tell you, it is so, so, so worth every penny! Scallops are large and fresh, pan-fried with a slightly-crisp bite in a honey/soy sauce with just a bit of a kick! I dream about this dish and hope you enjoy it should you ever get the good fortune to enjoy it! Update. My family and I returned to enjoy another plate of these delicious scallops and again were blown away by how delicious they were. In addition, I asked for a plate of tempura green beans which is not generally on their menu but they gladly prepared it for my family and they too were probably the best I've ever had (A testament to this being I am currently eating them for breakfast after reheating them in the air fryer and they are just as amazing as last night's).
Really cool place with delicious food. Great menu! Had the sample appetizer to start, miso and hot and sour soup, and chicken with steamed veggies. Really liked the dipping sauces as well. Waiter was awesome and food came out fast. Sushi was good. Very flavorful. Can't go wrong here ordering anything. The waitstaff are very attentive.
